The power of Hypnosis
These days, the topic of hypnosis is rather a common one. Many people have a general idea of what hypnosis is all about. During a hypnosis session the individual is put into an altered state of consciousness. He is also more prone to responding to suggestions. Reaching this state can be achieved in a number of ways. Sometimes hypnosis can be induced by a hypnotist who then goes on to utter monotonous verbal commands. Individuals who are able to control key areas like breathing are also able to induce self hypnosis.
The use of hypnosis is very common amongst medical circles. It is used in treating individuals with behavioral and psychological ailments. Back pain as well as other muscular pains are just some of the type of conditions that can be treated with hypnosis. Occasionally, the pain of pregnant women has been relieved through its use . However, much of the use of hypnosis is directed at finding treatment for psychological/behavioral diseases. Example of such conditions includes overeating, smoking, and insomnia. Illnesses that are linked to possible psychological causes, such as Raynaud's Syndrome or male impotency can also be addressed with the use of hypnosis.
When an individual is hypnotized he experience lessened awareness of the immediate environment. Instead attention is focused more on mental and psychological experiences. The therapy session is normally controlled by the hypnotist. People have different levels by which they will respond to a trance. In an intense trance, individuals are able to respond to posthypnotic suggestions which they forget once the session has been completed. 2 out of every 10 people who go in for hypnosis are found to attain this level.
Results of a hypnotized session can be used in introductions in court, but it is not accepted as a form of evidence. The stated ability of a patient who has been hypnotized to inaccurately merge actual recounts with generated images fueled by his fantasies is one of the reasons . This recount is further tainted because of the tendency of most patients to impose emotional fears and depression on the images they see. Owing to all these, the results of a hypnotized session are merely considered in light of the individual's emotion and not a testament of actual truth.
With this in mind, let's look at the following: Hypnosis mind control, Hypnosis CD
