Topical Fat Loss

Often considered an alternative to liposuction, topical fat loss represents a method of eliminating adipose tissues by means of creams, gels and lotions. Skincare products have to be massaged in the skin so that they can reach the fat deposits beneath and break them down. Ingredients like aminophylline, forskolin, DMAE and diiodol-thyronine are used by most companies that manufacture products for topical weight loss.

When these chemicals come into contact with the fat cells, the adipose layers will dissolve. The look of the skin after the treatment could be a reason to worry here, although topical fat loss supporters say that the softness and smoothness of the skin do not change. Creams are the most popular products in the topical fat loss category, yet they are pretty expensive despite the large offer of brands available on the market.

Heated debates are impossible to stop when it comes to discussing the actual efficiency of topical fat loss products. Women are the main targeted market here, and they are lured with the promise of beauty, fitness and young age. The treatments often have very positive results, but critics believe that the adipose tissues do not disappear, and that the actual result of topical fat loss is the reduction of fluids in the tissues. Another main issue that questions the efficiency of topical fat loss products is the absorption of the substances in the skin.

Normally, the substances would pass into the blood stream and be metabolized. Therefore, there are low chances for topical fat loss to work as product manufacturers claim. Despite these controversies, gels, lotions and creams designed for topical fat loss products make good sales. They are preferred to liposuction and surgery because they are less invasive. Fat loss thus continues to be a big money maker for skincare companies all over the world.

If you want to try topical fat loss, make sure to choose brands with a good reputation. They may be a bit pricier, but at least you know you can benefit from a refund policy in case something goes wrong with the product. Check reviews, read the list of ingredients and then pay! If you are careful with the products you buy, you won't develop dermatological problems deriving from topical fat loss.
